I'm just about to convert to obsidian due to the lack of code blocks and chaos that is OneNote.... however the picture resizing is hard to leave.

You can resize pictures in Obsidian with common markdown syntax. Not as comfortable as point and click but possible. For my purpose Obsidian's pros outweigh the cons by far.
