Outlook task link set to wrong instance of OneNote

Hi,

 

I have two instances of onenote installed on my laptop, when I have a onenote task in Outlook and I click on the link to the notes it opens the wrong onenote app.  How do I change the default app that is used for the link in the Outlook task

 

To be clear the outlook task and link is originally created by onenote by pressing e.g., crtl + shift + 1. It is when I revist the task in outlook and click on the link it takes me to the wrong onenote app - I want to change the app it uses by default to open the link

    SJOliver660 Have you reviewed your Windows Settings > Apps? Check "Set defaults by app."  I still want everything to open in OneNote 2016, so all of my defaults are for that.  Does this solve your issue?
