Markdown and OneNote
It is strange that OneNote doesn't natively support Markdown. Microsoft Loop is terrible as a replacement for OneNote. I am regularly looking for a OneNote alternative, but that isn't here yet for me given the handwriting support, sync, multiple device support (web, Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS), notebook sharing, integration with OneDrive/SharePoint (alongside document library supprot), etc. But there may be a day. I do use Joplin with OneDrive sync (works pretty well) but the markdown editor is poor -- using with Typora is awesome and it is good they allow external editor support.
I just want one notebook system. I don't want to have to remember which system has the note I am looking to use/reference/update. It would be nice if Microsoft would either open source OneNote and let us contribute, but then I woke up to reality. 😆 Or would provide such feature. Again, reality isn't hinting this as being a reality. So likely, sometime in the future, I will need to move off OneNote.
