Custom Dictionaries when migrating from Office 2016 to M365 apps

Question

When customers are migrating from Office 2016 to M365 what happens to custom dictionaries? The UPN changes from an On premise identity to Cloud (UPN change). Is there a way to have a backup of these dictionaries from on-prem and restore them once M365 Office is installed? I could not find any documentation to support this.

No, I refer to the custom dictionaries. Adding a word to a custom dictionary in one Office program makes that word available for spelling checks in other Office programs. I want to know is there a way to backup and restore these when users are migrated from Office 2016 to M365 apps. There will be a UPN change in this case. Ideally they are stored in %AppData% for each user.
