WDAC to App Control for Business - expected costs after preview?

Hi everyone,

we were in the process of evaluating and implementing Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC). Now App Control for Business has been announced in preview.
As there have been previews in the past that cause additional costs after release in GA, we would like to know whether this can also happen here.
Is there any information yet on whether this feature will incur costs after the preview or whether the feature will continue to be available free of charge with the existing license as with WDAC and it is only a renaming and relocation in the Intune portal.

 

I would be very grateful for some information.

    Normally it is customary to wait for GA before pricing is final. If I had to speculate, as long as you have Windows 10/11 Pro or Enterprise, and an Intune license, then you should be fine, but you'll have to wait for GA because there is always the chance they put this feature in the Intune Suite add-on, since that is where a lot of the newer features are landing.
