AIP Scanner with Azure SQL Managed Instance
Good Afternoon All,
Our DBA is questioning the use of SQL Server for AIP scanners. Aware that documentation states SQL Server and have always implemented this way without challenge in other organisations. Our DBAs preference is to utilise Azure Managed SQL instance and seems to think there should be no reason it won't work. I'm interested to find out if anyone has successfully implemented this or if it is even supported?
Thanks
James

" I would like to inform you that Azure Managed SQL instance is not supported for AIP scanner as there can be a performance issues as well if connection is down scanner would error out.
Also, AIP scanner is not designed to use Azure Managed SQL instance.
As recommended, you should use an on-prem SQL instance for AIP scanner configuration. "- redh_at_bnzCopper Contributor
Hello James_Hamilton100
I was wondering if this is a thing? as in is the AIP scanner is not OK to work with an Azure Managed SQL instance?
Does a full Azure DB need to be created for this?
Thank you for everything
