windows Devices name policy intune

Hi

How to force Intune to name the devices as fx ZZZ-{{serialnumber}}.

I know how to rename the devices, but I need the policy to apply to new devices.

    admin-CPH Are you using Windows https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/autopilot/profiles? If So you can rename the device from within your AP profile:

    Option 2

    You can also do a https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/remote-actions/device-rename#bulk-rename-devices:

     

    Option 3

    Custom device configuration profile ( https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/accounts-csp ) is another option

     

    Option 1 (AP) is the best way to go if you'd ask me 😉
