Windows Autopilot
Dear members,
We are experiencing the following issue with Windows Autopilot.
Some devices from users went randomly into the Windows Autopilot phase and fails at the account setup phase (0x81036502).
This usally occured after a restart or a sign in. These devices were already enrolled in Intune, Entra ID joined and have been used for months.
I've never seen this before, so this is very strange.
See the ESP settings from the tenant down below.
Show app and profile configuration progress: Yes
Show an error when installation takes longer than specified number of minutes: 60
Show custom message when time limit or error occurs: Yes
Turn on log collection and diagnostics page for end users: Yes
Block device use until all apps and profiles are installed: Yes
Allow users to reset device if installation error occurs: No
Allow users to use device if installation error occurs: Yes
Block device use until required apps are installed if they are assigned to the user/device: All
All the apps deployed from Intune are targeted on device level and not user.
Does anyone have an idea what the cause of this issue might be.
Thank you in advance for reading this and assisting me.
Kind regards,
Mehmet Gül
- Are you 10000% sure there are no apps targetted at the users? (also no company portal?)
Did you checked out the registry key corresponding to the user tracked apps?
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Autopilot\EnrollmentStatusTracking\Sid id from the user....
That error 0x81036502 is possible a timeout that is giving by an app- Mehmet58Copper ContributorHi Rudy,
