Wifi Configuration profile sync issues.
I have a Wifi Config profile which works. Lets call this "Trebor". It's assigned to the device group "iOS/iPad Devices" and within this group I have a bunch of iPad and iOS devices. Among them is the iphone "TheRosinante".
I removed "TheRosinate" from the device group "iOS/iPad Devices", forced a sync and as expected the wifi profile was removed from the iphone after it was removed from the group.
Now, I created a new device group called "iOS Devices only" and added the iphone "TheRosinate" to this group. I then assigned this new device group to the Wifi Profile "Trebor". I force a sync on the iphone and wait and wait and wait. The Wifi profile "Trebor" doesn't show up on the iphone. There is no exclusion group on this Wifi profile
I even tried creating a new Wifi Config profile with the same details as "Trebor" to go along with the device group. That also failed to show up on the iphone after about two days.
Am lost as to what could be he cause. I appreciate any help from the community.
Edit: The generated report for the Wifi Profile says the sync to "TheRosinate" was successful. There's nothing on the phone though to show for this.
To close this out, it turns out the problem was because I didn't assign the new dynamic group to the certificates used in the Wifi profile. I have a few certs defined in the Wifi profile. I had to go to each cert, hit assign and add the new dynamic device group. My issue is resolved now and the Wifi profile is being pushed to all devices. Thanks for the help all.
It's documented in the link below. See the "Tip" section in green.

Two questions:
1. What is the status of the new profile in Intune? Does it say Success? Are you assigning the new config to user or device?
2. Can you check the iPhone under Setting - General- VPN & Device Management- Management Profile - More Details. Do you see your vpn profile listed under WiFi Networks? If you see it listed, you may need to check your WiFi name and password, it could be mistyped.

1. Yes, the new profile did say success. I ended up deleting it and sticking to the old profile which works because I thought I made a mistake when creating the new profile. Recreating it shouldn't be a problem. I am assigning the new config to a group made of one device.
2. Did you mean to say "Wifi profile" or "Vpn profile"? Under that path, the wifi profile I want doesn't show up. As part of the Wifi configuration, only the SSID was provided. Users are supposed to auth with their own passwords once they choose to join the Wifi network. So, no password was set in the configuration in MEM.- Zack_BankCopper ContributorI had the same issue, couldn’t push the wifi setting again until I re-enrolled the device. Have you tried to exclude the new group from existing policy and create the new policy?
