Uninstalling 64 bit Office and replace with 32 bit

Hi everyone,

Looking for a bit of help with the following scenario. Our default Windows 10 configuration profile pushes out Office 365 64 bit. I have a group of 3 PCs that need to have the 32 bit version install because of legacy plug ins for excel that need to run. I am trying to uninstall the 64 bit version and whether I do it manually or via Intune/Azure AD group for uninstall, the 64 bit version reinstalls the next day. How can I permanently uninstall? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Nelson,

Have you tried to use MSFT 365 Apps? You can install the version you like and remove other version option.

    Hope it helps!

Moe_Kinani thanks for your reply. I went back and looked at our Office installations and I have Microsoft 365 Apps set up in the 32 bit. The issue is that the system currently has Office 365 for Windows 10 64 bit installed as part of default configuration profile, which gets uninstalled but then reinstalls the next day. I'm trying to see how to permanently uninstall.

      Thanks.

Have you tried to use required Uninstall? I would use that and push new 32 bits.
