The three-phase approach to cloud native management

Looking for details on how to go cloud native with device management? What’s the best transition? Where to start? You're in luck. Chief Product Officer Jason Roszak just published an easy-to-follow three-phase approach. Here's a summary:

  1. Simplify all management workloads by moving them from on premises to Intune. This will be the fastest way to reduce the complexity and cost of current technology and get closer to a single pane of glass.
  2. If you can't join devices natively into Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid join them and enroll them into Intune. This allows you to receive the benefits of the cloud workloads and transition away from dual management.
  3. Lastly, for new Windows devices, go straight to cloud native. This will accelerate your organization’s transition and reduce the risk of recreating legacy approaches in the cloud.

The goal of going cloud native is to find efficiency, to lessen the experience impact to your users, and to simplify your architecture and reduce your total cost of ownership. Following these approaches will help identify the proper steps that will fit your organization’s needs. Let's set those plans to action for 2024, and explore the whole blog post at Best practices in moving to cloud native endpoint management.
