When I tried to manually install the downloaded IME I got the following error on-screen:
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor".

- sjgibb99Aug 15, 2024Copper ContributorI've been able to move this forward some now. I temporarily disabled application control from our End Point solution (not MS Defender) for that device and tried manually running the IME installer again.
It worked!
I'm quite confused now as the End Point system didn't record any application blocking either on the device or the admin system. I've made some changes to the application control policy that was linked to that computer and will await and see if this resolves the issue over the coming days. - sjgibb99Aug 15, 2024Copper ContributorAre there pre-requesites in terms of Window components or running services that could be causing the issue here? There shouldn't be a difference between the computers, but clearly there's something I'm not picking up.

Thanks for the link. I get the exact same message and the installation fails when I run that MSI with admin rights.
