Mixed licensing, not all computers have intune, how do i manage defender?
Hi,
If not all my computers have intune, how i manage defender settings for users that dont have intune license? If i go in security center mdm and say manage by intune everything needs to be managed by intune, i cannot mix.

danc186 all your devices are enrolled in MDE AS WELL ?
i can see them all in the security console yes, they basically get into mde then theres a gpo that converts to intune but not everyone has a license, should i just remove the manage by intune in the defender section for security center? i mean i will also enroll servers but servers wont be in intune so i dunno how i will manage defender settings without the security console config section
danc186 you can now manage the antivirus policies from the MDE portal using the configuration management policies
The new feature in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint makes it possible to deploy directly configurations from Microsoft Endpoint Manage/ Intune directly to MDE onboarded devices without the need to completely onboard devices into Intune.
