Making my business app (formerly in the MS Business Store available in Intune

Hi guys.  I have a business Windows App.  It was available in the MS Business Store.  It was linked to various organisations which used it via an organisation identifier.  One organisation is saying that new users can no longer download the App as it isn't in their organisations Intune.  How do you make it available, or do I have to provide them with the files and they make it happen locally?  I'd be most grateful for any help.  I have limited knowledge of this area.  Thanks

  • Hy,

With the retirement of the Microsoft Store for Business, organizations can no longer add or assign apps via the old Business Store interface, instead you can proceed like this:

    1.  If Your App Is in the New Microsoft Store
The organization's Intune administrator must add your app from the new Microsoft Store directly in the Intune portal:
Go to Intune Admin Center > Apps > All Apps > Create.
Select Microsoft Store app (new) as the app type.
Search for your app, select it, and assign it to the relevant user or device groups.
Note: The app must be published and visible in the new Microsoft Store for this to work.
    2. If Your App Is Not in the New Microsoft Store
      Provide the App Package:
If your app is not available in the new store, you will need to provide the organization with the app files (such as the MSIX, MSI, or EXE package).
      Intune Win32 or LOB Deployment:
The organization’s Intune admin can then package and deploy the app as a Line-of-Business (LOB) app or Win32 app through Intune4.
      Private Distribution:
If you want to keep the app private, you can use the Microsoft Partner Center to set the app’s visibility to a specific group (private audience) and assign it to customer groups.

    Good luck!
