Is Company Portal App required for Device Enrolled iPad (Kiosk scenario)
Dear All,
We are enrolling DEP iPads into Intune. Is Company Portal App required to enforce some of the device restrictions profiles and other policies configured from Intune? We have deployed it to the iPads and found the Company Portal App doesn't do anything. It still requires Sign-in, which we don't have a user associated with the Kiosk device.
Thanks.
Thanks guys for the reply. I actually found the answer from Microsoft Docs. Basically you don't use Company Portal App for devices that are enrolled with no user affinity, such as Kiosk devices.

Devices that are configured with no user affinity do not support the Company Portal and should not have the app installed. The Company Portal is designed for users who have corporate credentials and require access to personalized corporate resources (like email). Devices that are enrolled with no user affinity aren't intended to have a dedicated user sign in. Kiosk, point of sale (POS), or shared-utility devices are typical use cases for devices that are enrolled with no user affinity.
