Intune Device Configuration policies to control windows updates
Hello
We use a 3rd party tool to manage windows updates for our laptop fleet and use a GPO to control the way our laptops get their updates (from the 3rd party tool and not microsoft).
We would like to move away from using a gpo to do this and use an Intune device config policy. I found an article that says create a new policy, go to Intune Settings Catalog Guide, search with keywords Windows Update in the Settings picker search box, and Select Allow Auto Update and select 'Turn off automatic updates'
Can someone let us know if that is the best way of acieveing our goal and if any other settings are needed?
cheers

- NicklasOlsenIron ContributorAh I see. Sorry, I don't have experience with this.
What policy did you use in Group Policy? - NicklasOlsenIron ContributorWould you still like to get updates from a 3rd party tool and not MS?
But just moving the policy to Intune?- TimlowennaCopper ContributorHello there, yes, at this stage we still need all windows updates to come from the 3rd party tool. It may well change in the future but at this stage we just need to stop entra devices from getting their updates direct from MS
