Intune Autopilot Reset

Hi, it seems that after deleting the partitions and manually reinstalling Windows 11 23H2, the device joined to Autopilot during OOBE doesn’t have the same configuration as one prepared with an OEM image or through the standard Autopilot process. Although WinRE appears enabled, the recovery image’s path might not be correctly set up, which is essential for Autopilot Reset to work properly. It’s important to verify that the recovery image’s path is correct and that the recovery file is present on the recovery partition, aligning with what you’d expect in a typical OEM setup. Additionally, reviewing the disk’s partition layout is crucial to ensure it includes all necessary partitions  - EFI, MSR, and Recovery - and that they are configured similarly to those on a fully functional Autopilot device, as an incomplete or misconfigured layout can disrupt the reset process. Moreover, confirm that the device is properly enrolled in Azure AD and registered in Intune with the appropriate Autopilot profile, since incomplete enrollment might omit critical configurations. Finally, you might want to consider alternative imaging methods that preserve the standard OEM/Autopilot configuration, as a manual reinstallation might not fully replicate the required recovery settings. Addressing these aspects should help you get Autopilot Reset working as expected.
