While Hybrid Join can help in scenarios where legacy infrastructure dependencies still exist, it often introduces complexity around VPN requirements, domain controller access, and device management consistency.
Entra ID Join, on the other hand, simplifies management and aligns better with modern cloud-first and Zero Trust strategies, especially when combined with Intune.
From a device migration perspective, minimizing dependencies on on-prem AD and avoiding disruption to users during the transition should be a major consideration when choosing between the two approaches.
