Hybrid AAD join - Registration Troubleshooter Tool
I ran a Powershell script from this which checks the devices registration and also troubleshoots it.

I get the error DESKTOP Test failed : device is NOT joined to the local domain.
Why should it join a local domain and what does this mean? This machine is shipped to the customer for Intune Autopilot join. Why would I have to join this to the local domain? Cannot understand this.
I have created the Autopilot HAAD join deployment profile added the device group and this device is in that group. But, I am not seeing the OOBE user experience for me to login to the machine using my email credentials. What am I missing?
- Is this the issue that you try to hybrid join without VPN outside work?
- Hybrid AAD join requires AD domain join. If you want regular Azure AD Join - this does not require AD domain join and the Autopilot profile should have the Hybrid piece removed.
- Any update?
