Device Password set to never Expires, is it possible?

We have several Android devices with Intune with a Password set within Android settings which we have to enter once we Exit Intune, but we also want to have a Password for Intune as intune seems to sit on top of the device lockscreen password but the only settings i can fined in Intune is under Device Password & it has a Maximum Password Expires of 365 days? is there no option to set the Password to never expire? its safer to have a password that never expires than not enabling a password.  We dont want the password to expire as we dont want the users to be able to set a password once its expires.  Hope there is a way, if not Why Microsoft!
