Detecting SIM card removal
Hi All,
I have been asked the question " Can Intune detect and report back if a SIM card is removed/swapped etc for a device? This is currently just for Android tablets.
I have had a look in the admin centre and can't not see a feature to do this.
Anyone able to help with this?
Many Thanks
No there is no mechanism in Intune that can do this for you. There are some apps that offer this functionality (just Google on it) and you can deploy these apps with Intune ofcourse.

Hi,
Intune does not natively detect or report SIM card removal/swaps on Android devices. While it can track some cellular data (e.g., IMEI, phone number), SIM changes are not directly monitored.
Possible workarounds:
- Compliance Policies: Detect if the device becomes non-compliant after a SIM change.
- Custom Scripts: For Android Enterprise devices, custom scripts may help track changes.
- Third-Party MDM Solutions: Some offer SIM tracking features.
You may also submit feedback to Microsoft for future enhancements.

- UpNorthIntuneIron ContributorDon't suppose you know of any apps that can do this? or heard of any companies that successfully use one?
I'll keep looking on Google to. - UpNorthIntuneIron Contributor
