Deploying M365 apps on new laptops via Intune
I am a little bit confused about setting up new laptops... Would be great if I can get some advice... So, what I plan to do for new laptops: I enrol the laptop to Intune and then run Fresh Star...
Here is what I normally do - Download the M365 ODT files. Create a custom xml with the filed <remove>. Wrap the M365 ODT setup.exe and config.xml in Win32. Import in Intune with Detection (reverse logic, meaning - Not detected) against Office registry. Deploy to the dynamic AP group. This removes the OEM installed version of Office apps and the deployed version gets installed during device provisioning.
