Chrome updates W10 configuration intune
Hi,
I am trying to set up Chrome to do automatic updates through Intune. Does the Chrome ADMX template need to be constantly changed to show the different version or does chrome do it automatically after ingesting the template.
- Chrome takes care of updating the app automatically. You don't need to worry about ingesting the admx anymore as it is built into Intune now. https://rahuljindalmyit.blogspot.com/2022/03/using-google-chrome-built-in-admx.html
Hi,
In the back old days yes... 🙂 but now with the ADMX popping up in INTUNE, no.. as Microsoft is taking care of it, just like rahuljindal-MVP mentioned 🙂Intune -2016281112 Remediation failed Chrome Policies CSP (call4cloud.nl)

- ash_userCopper ContributorHi,
Thank you for your reply. I didn't know that they had built this in. Do I need to configure a setting for it to do automatic updates or does it just do it? Also, if I were to replace the ADMX on the configuration would that throw users off the browser.
Thanks,
Ash- rahuljindal-MVPBronze ContributorAs far as I know there is no additional setting for updating Chrome. It just works.
As for replacing custom ADMX with built-in settings in Intune is concerned, as long as the settings are same and not resulting in a conflict, it should be fine. I will suggest to test and run a pilot before targetting production users.
