Best way to Manage Device reboot Post monthly patches installation.
Post Microsoft patch installation what's the best way to control device reboot behavior we want a maximum 9-hour time window to reboot the device and in 9 hours we want 3 popups to differ the reboot prompt post that the device should forcefully reboot the device.
- Are you using update rings to install patches? If yes, then you can use deferral\deadline settings to control installation and reboots. As for controlling the number of prompts, that is going to be a custom solution. However, in my opinion the default toast notification strike the right balance of end user experience and requiring reboot.
