I suspect you might have a hybrid environment. If that's the case, please check the following:

Do you have Azure AD Connect? If yes, verify that it is configured correctly.

Steps to Verify if This is the Problem:


Check the User Account in Azure AD:
1- Log in to the Azure AD portal and verify if the user exists. Ensure that the user’s UPN (e.g., email address removed for privacy reasons) is correct and matches what’s being used for login.

2- Check Azure AD Connect Status:

  • Access the server where Azure AD Connect is installed.
    Open Synchronization Service Manager and check for any sync errors.
    Verify if the user account has been successfully synced.

3- Verify Azure AD Connect Configuration:

Ensure that the correct OUs (Organizational Units) are included for synchronization.
Confirm that Azure AD Connect is configured for Password Hash Sync or Pass-through Authentication (PTA) if applicable.
