How to Recover a Global admin account without MFA
Hi Community
I have created a Global admin account in a tenant, unfortunately I had to reset my mobile device, and the MFA codes / setup are gone. I know the password for the account though, without being able to access MFA, I'm not able to login anymore.
I have no other admin accounts / Privileged accounts setup.
Is there any way to recover from this situation?

Hi, i completely understand how frustrating it can be to lose access to your Global Admin account because of MFA issues, especially when you don't have any other admin accounts available.
Here’s what I suggest:
-Check for an Emergency ("Break-Glass") Account:
If you previously set up an emergency admin account that bypasses MFA, try logging in with that account. From there, you can reset or remove MFA for your main account.
-Contact Microsoft Support:
If you don’t have an alternate account, your next step is to reach out to Microsoft Support directly. Explain your situation in detail and be ready to provide all necessary information to verify your identity and tenant ownership. They’ll guide you through the process of recovering access.
-Plan for the Future:
Once you’ve resolved this issue, it’s a good idea to set up an emergency admin account or configure alternative authentication methods. This way, you won’t find yourself in the same situation again.
