Yammer Basic

With deeper integrations between Yammer and other O365 services standalone enterprise plans for Yammer are being retired.
Please can someone advise what will happen to the free Yammer Basic plans?
If these are being retired, when?
How will they even work without an O365 subscription?

  • My understanding that standalone plans are indeed being phased out, so organizations that want to continue to use Yammer would be doing so under the umbrella of an Office 365 contract.

Best place to check regarding your existing situation would be with your account manager.

I'd did some research, primarily http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_yammer?tab=Threads and got absolutely zilch, the closest I got was:

Hopefully, someone can give you a definitive statement.  This sort of info shouldn't be this hard to find. I'd guess Yammer Basic isn't going anywhere, for now, there is certainly no mention of it anywhere obvious.
