Why are Powerpoint recording videos larger than officemix?

Has anyone noticed that with the migration from officemix to powerpoint/recording/stream that when you create a slide recording using the "recording tab" vs the officemix tab it is almost 4x larger. Over a two hour lecture it results in a file which is 2gb vs officemix's 500mb. This is going to be a significant problem with uploading to Microsoft Stream. 

 

Can you please ensure that there is a way to decrease the video compression size at least down to what it was in officemix, as this is a major oversight on Office 365?
