Apr 25, 2018Hi,
Shared calendars definitely work on those devices!
It sounds like the information you received from Support is incorrect.
In order to have the shared calendar sync to your mobile device, you need to accept the sharing invitation using Outlook on the web, iOS, or Android. So in your case, from Outlook on Android, search for the sharing invitation you received & click Accept again.
After re-accepting, you should see the calendar appear in your list of calendars.

Hi, I just tried repro'ing this on Oreo and it worked for me. Here are the steps:
1. From an account hosted in Office 365 (user A), login to Outlook on the web
2. Share the calendar to another user (user B) who is hosted in Office 365
3. User B opened Outlook for Android and clicks the Accept button shown in the app
4. User B sees User A's calendar in Outlook for Android
Note: both accounts must be hosted in Office 365, and you must be using the above listed apps (using 3rd party apps will not work)- Admin nullApr 30, 2018Copper ContributorYes that is what we tried. It only worked when I went back to the invitation and clicked Accept.
I was wondering how the readding back of the shared calendar worked on other devices lower android but not in Oreo without going back to the invite.
I just readded the shared calendar in desktop owa and went back on the phone and reset tge account.
Have you tried the steps that i gave you? Without using the calendar invite email?
- Admin nullApr 27, 2018Copper ContributorI tried the steps given by the support and it worked in lower Android version. Any thoughts for oreo androis version s9+?
- Admin nullApr 25, 2018Copper ContributorIf it was incorrect then it should have not work on her iphone and android phone.
I let tbe support retry it several times because it didnt work on my phobe. You mway want to try it. Here are the steps.
1. Remove a shared calendar on the phone.
2. Log in to desktop owa, the shared calendar is also gone.
3. In order to have it back in desktop owa, add the shared calendar again. Open calendar. Once it is back go back go your phone.
4. In the outlook app go to calendar tab, click the main settings at tbe lower left corner click your account and reset account.
I will also try this with the rest of my users who are using a lower version od Android. - Admin nullApr 25, 2018Copper ContributorI don't think it is wrong. Accepting the calendar again was her first advice but I decline at first because it seems incovenient.
The support tested an iphone and android in her end and it just works if the shared calendar is added back in desktop OWA and let it sync in the phone. I can put screenshots here.
My concern is this
What is the shared calendar was shared 10 years back so i don't have the invitation already and all users change their phone and the org has a lot of shared calendars. Does that mean I need to ask the owner of the calendar to re share the calendar to all users?
