Publisher opens old version of Onvedrive document

Publisher on Office 365 behaves strangely when using files stored on OneDrive (possibly only when shared to you by someone else). When selecting a file from the File Open menu from pinned or recent, Publisher often opens a previous version of the document and not always the latest. This has cost me lots of reprinting and problems. It seems Publisher links to a specific version on onedrive and not the latest one. This will let previously corrected errors come back into a document. I think it should always open the latest version whether you use recent or pinned.
