Powerpoint standalone file on 365

 I created a training video in Powerpoint and saved it as a standalone show (.ppsx), but when I put it on sharepoint to distribute, it opens as an editable file (which is shared with all students and can be messed up easily.) My research indicates that the web version of PowerPoint on Office 365/SharePoint, which all students have and use, does not support a standalone uneditable powerpoint show. What are my options here, or do you have a workaround? It was designed that they could click through the individual slides at their own pace.
