office message Trace invalid Credentials error using API

Hi All,

I Am trying to access the office message trace API using Basic Auth. Now i am getting Invalid credentials  error( due to expired credentials).I tried searching for the  documentation to create new credentials but no luck . If found some stack pages saying Basic AUTH was disabled by Office Team. If that is the case, Can someone point me towards alternate solutions.

I heard about some alternative ways  like using oauth instead of Basic Authentication. But i am not able to find any documentation.

Any help is much appreciated!
