How can I view VISIO 2003-2010 diagrams in my VISIO 2016 Pro? MS says It can not be done.

I created hundreds of VISIO Diagrams in 2009 that have the 2003-2010 format, I would like to reference them. Is there a way to step them up to my 2016 VISIO Pro without having to redraw them?
