When you record audio in OneNote while typing or handwriting notes, the app automatically time-stamps your notes. This means:
- You can tap on a specific note and OneNote will jump to the exact moment in the audio when you wrote it.
- During playback, OneNote will highlight your notes in sync with the audio, helping you relive the lecture or meeting as it happened.
Here’s how to set it up on OneNote for Windows:
- Open OneNote and go to the page where you want to take notes.
- Click on the Insert tab.
- Select Record Audio.
- Start typing or writing your notes while the audio is recording.
- When you’re done, click Stop.
- To replay, click the audio icon and use the Playback tab to jump to specific notes.
