Formula for balance criteria

I only want to populate 5 in the calculated field if the balance is greater than 300 and less than 1000. Is it only populating if any of the fields fall below 300. Any suggestions?

=IF(OR( (D14:V14>300) * (D14:V14<1000)),5,0)
