Creating dynamic master shapes in Visio

Where can I find resources to help create complex master shapes in Visio?  I want to create cross functional swim lanes with cells that have numbers in them.  I want to have the cells numbered 1 to x, upper right to lower left.  The cells in new swim lanes should automatically include numbers as they are added.
