Authenticator app issue

I am trying to log into Outlook and Teams on my iphone. When I try to enter in Username & PW, I get forced to open authenticator app, which asks for the same log in details I try to enter into Teams and Outlook, then it asks me to enter an authenticator app code which I cannot access as the current window prevents it from opening. I go back and have to start the whole process again. I just seem to go around in circles and end up in the same spot. i am the admin for the account , so i am unable to reset anything.

  • I am seeing a situation with iPhone 16 and current IOS that Microsoft Authenticator got stuck. Happens when adding MSA and Business Accounts at the same time. 

     

    Also iCloud login on Windows causes issues with this iOS release and prevents MFA confirmation. 

  • Revoke and Reassign MFA

    Attempt to revoke the existing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings and then reassign them.
    Before proceeding, ensure that the authenticator app on your mobile device is updated to the latest version.
    Remove the current authenticator setup and clear cache data from the app.


    Alternative Authentication Method
    Log in to your Microsoft 365 account from a computer.
    Navigate to the account security settings and add an alternative authentication method, such as SMS or email.
    Set this alternative method as the default for two-factor authentication.
