Trying to report mail usage, internal vs externally sent messages

Hi,

I am trying to find a way that I can report per user per day the number of messages sent, split between internal or external.  My company has a few different domains that we class as Internal, checked the 365 Admin > Reports section but nothing there appears to provide the breakdown.

Has anyone done this, if so, how exactly, don't mind if PowerShell or GUI
