Shared Mailbox - Deactivate Calendar and Contacts

I'm having the same troubles.  We use shared mailboxes but don't need the calendar or contacts. 

Firstly, how can i adjust settings so that ONLY the mailbox exists.  No calendars or contacts!! 

Second, i have seen hundreds of requests for this so clearly there is a need to have this ability, has microsoft listened to the community they claim to serve and listen too.  I guess we'll find out!!
