Setting up Outlook with an old email account with Exchange settings

I am trying to setup Outlook on a new PC however Outlook comes up with an error when I enter my email address & password when setting up an email account with Exchange, Exchange 2013 or Office 365.  The email is not associated with the domain provider and is currently on an old laptop which is able to send and receive emails fine.  I can also login to Outlook webmail with the email address & password.  Any suggestions how to fix this?
