(Outlook) Search issue after upgrade to build 15831.20190
We are having the same issue as you. When we do a search in Outlook (M365 app), the initial search gives a partial list. Normally, we would scroll to the bottom of the list and request more search results, but as the initial search never finishes, we no longer have that option, so we are forced to use a partial list of results. The symptom showed up with version 2211, build 15831.20190. As you highlighted, the next update, build 15831.20208 did not resolve the problem.
Someone suggested rebuilding indices and that made it worse. Rebuilding indices resulted in no search results, just a search animation, you don't even get a partial list. We don't have this problem with versions of Microsoft 2019 Standard/Pro. OWA works fine as well. The problem is limited to the M365 app connecting to Exchange 2013.
The same as you, we are using Exchange 2013 (Build 1497.2/CU23). You may or may not be aware that Exchange support ends in April 2023. I suspect the number of people suffering this problem is small as evidenced by how few people are complaining online. I've only found two other posts about this problem. This is an issue with the M365 app, but as the issue is compatibility with Exchange 2013, we may never see a fix.
We were in the middle of our migration to Exchange 2019 and have told those last few to be moved, this problem will not be fixed and to use OWA as a solution until we migrate them.

Thank you for the clarifications. We're using Office 2019 Professional Plus, is this Outlook the same as the M365 app?
