MRM retention policy not taking effect on some mailboxes

- Jul 10, 2024It can take a while for the initial processing of the mailbox to happen, the SLA for that is 7 days in Exchange Online. You can try giving it a push via the Start-ManagedFolderAssistant cmdlet, but that doesn't always work, you have to wait.
As for confirming the policy is applied correctly, best use OWA. And if you are checking this on behalf of another user/mailbox, make sure you use the "Open another mailbox" functionality.

Thanks, VasilMichev - the policy had taken effect for one of the other mailboxes this morning. For another, I've given it a nudge with Start-ManagedFolderAssistant, which is working.
