Exchange 2016 on premise-Force update GAL

I have created a new resource mailbox but it won't show up in the GAL. I'm not able to get the room to display when scheduling a meeting, adding a calendar, or even in the list of mailboxes. I'm running Exchange 2016 on premise on Windows Server 2016.
