Exchange 2010 Migration to 2016 - Move virtual NIC and MAC for NLB

Hi,

we want to move from Exchange 2010 to 2016. 

We have 2 HUB/CAS and 2 MBX-Server with Exchange 2010.

For network reasons we have to move the virtual NICs (VMware) for NLB with the IP-Address and the (manual assigned) MAC-Address from both HUB/CAS-Servers to the new Exchange-2016 Servers.

The primary IP-Configuration for Exchange-2016-Server will not be changed.

 

are there any dependencies and do we have to restart the Exchange-2016-Servers after adding the NIC?

Changes on Switches and other network devices are no option.

    Hi! I think if there no Exchange DAG in your environment, you can do the changes safely.
