Excahange 2016/2019 CAS role only for secure connection of OWA existing exchange 2013 mailbox

Hello Team,

We have Exchange 2013 server. can we install two more servers exchange 2016/2019 with CAS role only (not willing to migrated mailbox on 2016/2019) and connect them to the existing exchange 2013 mailbox servers. we need to secure outlook connections coming to port 443 to the local onprem.
