Difference between Outlook Classic and Outlook Web
I assume you're in cached exchange mode, and maybe you're using shared calendar improvements... Uncheck cached exchange mode for a second and see if the problem reproduces. If it does not, then you'll have to proceed with a new Outlook profile. Before doing so, turn the cache option back on, then uncheck shared calendar improvements, restart Outlook, disconnect and reconnect each calendar (to downgrade the calendars). Then test. Does it reproduce? If not, I'd still recommend creating a new Outlook profile. If it does reproduce, then reset the delegate user collection. Make note of the current delegates first before doing so, and then setup the delegate permissions from scratch.

Hi JorgeGPT
We indeed are working with cached mode. But the shared calendar improvements were disabled in our GPO's. We now have enabled this option. Now wait for the users with good feedback....- ArjanBroekhuizenAug 01, 2025Iron Contributor
The user has tested if enabling the shared calendar improvements solved the problem. Unfortunately it makes no difference. The user still cannot remove appointments from the shared calendar.
It is strange the removing items is not working. Adding items to the calendar although is working... This is configured with the same acces rights. The users has PublishingEditor rights for the calendar, so I don't understand why adding is working, but deleting not.
