Difference between Outlook Classic and Outlook Web
Yes..permissions are set on the mailbox, so in theory should be the same for both. You've just discovered one of the great things about Microsoft and their different clients!

Hi Dan_Snape
Indeed, great 'feature';). We have seen this more, that one day all works, and the other day it don't work any more. But most of the time all is working again the next day.
But in this case, it isn't working at all. Is there somthing I can do in Outlook to make this working?- Dan_SnapeJul 27, 2025Bronze Contributor
You can try: a new Outlook profile, make sure that Outlook is fully patched, remove and re-add the permissions, try the same user on another device/instance of Outlook. The New Outlook might be an option to try as well.

Hi Dan_Snape
Thanks for your message and suggestions. We recently updated Outlook but this didn't solve the problem. Re-assigning the permission I did earlier, but that also didn't help.
We are working with Citrix and therefore the users is logging in on several servers. Each night the server gets a fresh image.
The new Outlook is not available for our organization at this moment.
