Build Number Not Updating
In the path where Exchange Server 2016 is installed
Check the version of the ExSetup.exe file!
- bshort1023Sep 25, 2023Copper ContributorFile Version 15.1.2507.32
Product Version 15.01.2507.032
Any way to get Admin Center and Management Shell to reflect that version?
My reason for looking into this in the first place is that I want to delete some large files that look like they are specific to each version. I want to make sure it doesn't break anything if they are still being referenced.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess\Owa The directories are named 15.1.2507.17, .21 etc.

Hi,
still there is no option to get the actual build number via Exchange PS/ECP or PS Exchange Online Get-OnPremServerReportInfo...
Like all others mentioned, the ExSetup.exe (X:\<ExchangeInstallPath>\Exchange Server\V15\)/ HealthChecker or installed KBA under programs can be used.
We ran into a throttling due to an old version. Confused, bc this was my first EX Update and the shell tells me the old patch...
I noticed that the Built Versin also can be checked via the Exchange Online Admin Center ->
("Exchange Online Admin Center>Berichte>E-Mail-Fluss>Veraltete Verbindung mit lokalen Exchange-Servern" | "Exchange Online Admin Center>Reports>Email Flow>Outdated connection to on-premises Exchange servers"). - Dan_SnapeSep 25, 2023Iron ContributorThat would make sense, but at the moment we are out of luck. Microsoft have outlined how to get the version of Exchange in the below link, but none of the include the EAC!
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/new-features/build-numbers-and-release-dates?view=exchserver-2019#view-the-build-number-of-an-exchange-based-server- bshort1023Sep 26, 2023Copper ContributorHealthChecker also shows the version at 15.1.2507.032.
I am thinking I am safe to remove all of the large files that correspond to the previous versions.
Thank you for your help.
