WorkBook Calculation automatic mode
unable to set the workbook calculation to automatic mode, every time I open xls it's set Manual mode

Also note that if you open any workbook that was saved as Manual Mode, it will cause Excel to switch all workbooks open to manual, It cannot have some automatic and some manual, so the manual mode will essentially infect the other workbooks with the same setting. So make sure you switch to automatic mode, then save EVERY open workbook, close Excel, then reopen the workbook in question. It should be in automatic mode at that point.
- Once you change the setting in Preferences remember to quit Excel totally, not just close the spreadsheet. When you restart it should accept you new settings.
