VBA Editor

Hi

I hope someone can help as I spent hours trying to resolve this.  I am using Excel 2016 on Mac and trying to use macro but the coding section of the VBA editor is acting weird.  In that, the codes/text within the window will only display vertically in one line.  Each new character enters into a new line.  Any help is appreciated.
